At Cicerello’s, we employ approximately 250 staff across our hospitality operations, with around 10% of them being skilled Filipino workers. Since 2007, we’ve been recruiting offshore to fill urgent gaps in both management and kitchen operations. Over the years, we’ve learned that having the ability to trade test candidates and work with a partner who has people on the ground to screen and prepare applicants is essential. Partnering with Peloton WorkReady has made that process even more seamless. Their presence in the Philippines and hands-on approach in recruitment have helped us find honest, hardworking, and loyal staff who align with the values we uphold in our business. We’ve been so pleased with the results that we keep going back to Peloton when we need new talent—because we know they deliver.  I have found Filipino staff to be honest, reliable, hardworking and loyal family people, which is consistent with my personal values and strongly aligns with the culture of the businesses I own and operate. Many of the workers we’ve hired have gone on to build their lives here, with pathways that allow them to bring their families to Australia. Supporting them through this transition is something we take seriously, helping through interest-free loans, housing support, and extra hours where needed. Eighteen years later, some of our earliest recruits from 2008 are still with us—now with their own families working in the business. This kind of loyalty fosters a sense of community and family that’s vital in the hospitality industry. It’s built on trust and mutual respect, and it’s been gratifying to be part of their journey toward the Australian dream.

We’ve been fortunate to welcome a number of skilled cabinet makers from the Philippines through Peloton WorkReady, and the impact on our business has been overwhelmingly positive. The decision to recruit internationally has exceeded our expectations. The Filipino tradespeople who’ve joined Della Vita have consistently demonstrated high levels of craftsmanship, reliability, and professionalism. Beyond their technical ability, they’ve brought a strong sense of dedication and teamwork that has enriched our workplace culture. Several of these team members have already had their families join them here in Australia, and many are now progressing through the pathway to permanent residency. It’s a testament to the long-term success and human impact of ethical recruitment channels like those provided by Peloton WorkReady.

Explorex Caravans is thrilled to have a mix of 8 highly skilled Filipino cabinetmakers and welders, all happily placed with us via Peloton WorkReady. We have had these guys for over 12 months now, with only ONE sick day reported in that period. They are very considerate, happy, and positive staff, and have improved our workplace culture immensely with their pleasant personalities. Their quality of workmanship has also helped propel our caravans to the next level. We are also very proud to have now sponsored, and helped settle, the first family of one of our guys into Australia. It is lovely to see his wife, 6-year-old son, and 2 year-old daughter, start their new lives in Australia with their dad.

We began recruiting Filipino Small Engine Mechanics due to a skills shortage, particularly in WA, when we were finding it very difficult to recruit locally. The team at Peloton WorkReady have been a part of this journey from the beginning. We now have recruited over 200 Small Engine Mechanics from all over the Philippines to supplement our workforce in both Australia and New Zealand. Many of these visa team members have gone on to achieve their permanent residency, are still working with us and in a number of case have been promoted through the ranks. We have found that our Filipino team members have added immense value to our business and enable us to ensure we have the equipment and service standards our customer expect of us. The team at Peloton WorkReady are very responsive to our needs and always ensure the recruitment process and visa processes run smoothly and have satisfied all of our requirements under Modern Slavery legislation. If you’re looking to employ team members from the Philippines, I can highly recommend the team at Peloton WorkReady.

The decision to internationally recruit gyprockers for our service team at SP Ceilings to help meet skilled labour demand is proving to be a game changer, creating many positive outcomes and opportunities. Scott Park Group has now welcomed a number of skilled Filipino workers across various trades. The value they bring goes well beyond technical ability—their work ethic and loyalty have made a genuine impact, both on-site and within our broader team culture. What sets Peloton WorkReady apart is not just their ethical, people-first approach. The entire end-to-end process is professional and responsive — from trade testing through to deployment and beyond — it’s clear they care just as much about the future and wellbeing of the individuals they place as they do about delivering positive outcomes for businesses like ours. We’re excited to support these team members as they settle into life in Australia and are proud to be building something meaningful and long-term — for them and for us.

Their craftsmanship, dedication and strong work ethic has made a lasting impact on our projects and workplace culture. They’ve integrated seamlessly into our team, building strong relationships and contributing to a collaborative, respectful work environment from day one.
